TACO NACO KC is a Mexican-owned, women-led, chef-driven restaurant and market company rooted in Kansas City. What began as a small stand at the Overland Park Farmers' Market has grown into a neighborhood favorite known for bold Mexican flavors, handcrafted products, and welcoming hospitality.

We are looking for a dependable General Manager to join TACO NACO KC Westport.

Position Overview

Lead our Westport taquería and bar through quick lunches, busy evenings, weekends, and late service. You will own the daily operation, develop leaders across the kitchen, counter, and bar, and make sure food, hospitality, and financial decisions work together.

Key Responsibilities

• Build schedules, deploy the team, and lead service when the restaurant needs you on the floor.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and develop managers and team members with clear expectations.
• Keep food, beverage, guest service, cleanliness, safety, and responsible alcohol service consistent.
• Review sales, labor, food cost, inventory, and waste; act on trends and explain results.
• Maintain ordering, cash controls, equipment follow-up, and accurate restaurant records.
• Resolve guest and team concerns promptly and work with company leadership on practical improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years.
• Experience leading a restaurant or a strong record as an Assistant General Manager ready for full responsibility.
• A calm, direct coaching style and the ability to work alongside kitchen, counter, and bar teams.
• Comfort with budgets, scheduling, inventory, food safety, and restaurant systems.
• Sound judgment during busy evenings and dependable follow-through after the rush.
• Availability for the evenings and weekends that shape Westport service.

A college degree is not required.

Schedule
